NdYAG laser photocoagulation in the dog stomach.
Considerable discussion still centres around the relative merits of the Argon and Neodymium Yttrium Aluminum Garnet (NdYAG) lasers for the endoscopic treatment of gastrointestinal haemorrhage, although both are undoubtedly effect. We have carried out experiments to elucidate which factors determine the safety and efficacy of NdYAG laser photocoagulation. Histological studies on normal gastric m...

682 infrared range of the electromagnetic spectrum. Though all these lasers would have some effect on melanin, three wavelength bands are most useful for treating pigmented lesions green, red, and infrared.[1] Its not only about the wavelength, it is more about the right pulse duration and at sufficient fluence. Since green and blue light lasers are long pulsed continuous waves, they cause a ...
متن کاملElectrically pumped photonic crystal laser constructed with organic semiconductors
We experimentally demonstrate the lasing action of electrically pumped octagonal quasi-crystal microcavities formed in a layer of conjugated polymer poly[2-methoxy5-(2-ethylhexyloxy)-1,4-phenylenevinylene] (MEH-PPV) sandwiched between two electrodes. Lasing from a point-defect microcavity is observed at a wavelength of 606 nm with a narrow linewidth of 0.5 nm, limited by the spectrometer resolu...
متن کاملDiode-pumped mode-locked femtosecond Tm:CLNGG disordered crystal laser.
A diode-end-pumped passively mode-locked femtosecond Tm-doped calcium lithium niobium gallium garnet (Tm:CLNGG) disordered crystal laser was demonstrated for the first time to our knowledge. With a 790 nm laser diode pumping, stable CW mode-locking operation was obtained by using a semiconductor saturable absorber mirror. The disordered crystal laser generated mode-locked pulses as short as 479...
متن کاملLASER EMISSION IN DIODE-PUMPED Nd:YAG SINGLE-CRYSTAL WAVEGUIDES REALIZED BY DIRECT FEMTOSECOND-LASER WRITING TECHNIQUE
Buried waveguides have been realized in a 0.7 at.% Nd:YAG single crystal using the direct-writing technique with a femtosecond laser. Efficient laser emission at 1.06 and 1.32 μm is demonstrated and laser action at 0.94 μm is obtained using the pump with fiber-coupled diode laser at 807 nm, the first demonstration of such devices.
